Volkswagen Polo Cross is basically a more bulky version of the pre-exiting Polo and it has done well in the Indian market too. It is bigger and has fairly distinctive and different features that set it apart from the Volkswagen Polo, though the layout of both of these vehicles is more or less the same.
Available in both Petrol and Diesel versions, this Polo Hatchback crossover comes with a 1.2L Petrol engine, fitted with three cylinders, offering a power of 74 bhp at 5400 rpm and 230 Nm at 1500-2500 rpm and a 1.5L TDI Diesel engine fitted with three cylinders, offering a power of 89 bhp at 4200 rpm and 2300 Nm at 1500-2500 torque. Both of these engine types come with a 5 speed manual transmission, providing high fuel efficiency and offer a powerful performance.
The Polo Cross has maintained the same design as the Polo. Its versatile hatchback style is impressive and even with visible changes it hasn’t compromised on its structure and still stands tall and strong. The bumpers have been restyled and there is a black cladding all around the vehicle that transforms it into the Polo Cross. The wheels have also been replaced by alloy wheels and a roof rail has been introduced, making this vehicle a lot more rugged. All in all the sleek Polo has been given a sporty change which not only looks impressive but also very unique.
The space hasn’t been compromised in this vehicle which is very commendable. With the new features added to the Polo to make the Cross Polo, no compromise has been made in terms of comfort and stylish interiors. The scratch resistant dashboard, high quality fabric seats and luggage space makes it a dream to travel in. Cruise control, rear-defoggers, rear parking sensors and speed sensitive power steering promise a sense of ease to the passengers as well as the driver. ABS, dual front airbags, electronic engine immobilizer, front and rear fog lamps and power windows aid in safety and convenience.
This hatchback offers an average mileage of 16.47 Kmpl Petrol & 20.14 Kmpl Diesel.
